Schu deserved 1994 title, UK
Hill in 1994 never deserved the championship. Schumacher was faster and better the whole year. He was robbed of victory in Belgium when disqualified unfairly after a spin damaged the wooden plank on the base of his car. He lost 2nd place in Britain because of disqualification and being suspended for two races was just a ploy so Hill could get 20 cheap points and close the championship up and keep things exciting. Schumacher won that year in 12 races. Hill had sixteen chances and couldn't beat him. Schumacher won eight times. Hill won six but three of these were races Schumacher sat out or was disqualified after beating Hill. Hill never deserved the championship in 1994 and Schumacher winning was the correct outcome no matter what happened in Australia. Hill got lapped by Senna in Brazil in 1994 in the same car! Is that really the sign of a deserving champion? Schumacher won 92 to 91 points in 1994, but more than likely without the DQs and suspension he would have had another 36 points and Hills three wins would have been secon places and dropped him 12 points making it 128 to 79. It is a shame the Adelaide accident had to happen but the reality is that Schumacher should have been champion about 4 races prior to that anyway. The FIA put him in an unfair position where he could have lost the championship to someone who really didn't deserve it. Who knows if there was any intent in the collision with Hill but the right man won that year. I hope Schumacher stays. He's still the greatest!

Michael, as a female fan in F1 (who so by the way started watching F1 because of your brilliance - and your good looks of course!) I solemnly declare that I will discontinue watching F1 if you retire in your prime. So do us all a favour and stay on just one more year if nothing else!!!!! AND KICK EVERYBODY'S ASS, INCLUDING BLOODY ALONSO!!!!

Let's just all agree to disagree. Those who like Michael want him to stay, those that do not want him to leave. Why bring up all the negative things, like Hill and Villeneuve, do you really think that they did not do the same thing. Why did MS go after JV in 1994? Because JV drove irresponsibly, JV had talent, but only for 1 WM, and that was due to MS being penalized. Everybody wants to be the top driver, and only 1 can be that.

Michael, You make too much money. You lost your edge. You are more concerned with your contracts that keep you wearing that dang hat or exclusive interviews with that Italian TV. How much money is enough? You pay so little taxes in Switzerland anyway. You blew alot of money on your new house and hopefully Switzerland will get rid of foreigners negotiating their own tax rate. You have nothing to prove or little incentive to stay. How about going to Mclaren or another team and proving your the best? You are/were the best driver in F1 but have no drive or lust for the racing anymore. Hopefully humility will bring you back to reality. Record books will show you as the best and rightfully so. I just hope you don't do the 'tour' of books, posters, clothes, etc. just to make more money. 1 billion is more than plenty. How about making a new car or doing something for the people instead of being protraded a snob.

Setting then Record striaght, n/a
Schumi is not bigger than F1, F1 is bigger than Him, Fangio has a better record 5 world championships in 6 years. Started in F1 aged > 40, and a hit rate over only 50%.In the days when you 1 mistake youre dead.none of this silly business hittng Hill & JV and bullying the rest of his F1 peers. JM Fangio must be the best ever (PS 5 championships in 4 different car manfacturers) beat that MS

Whats the odds on Schumi or Massa taking out Alonso on Sunday? Like thats never happened before?
9 September, 02:25;
Schu Fan, NZ
Hill was average at best, Villeneuve struggled to win despite the best car by miles, Hakkinen won his second title only because Schumacher broke his leg. No one has consistently won and dominated F1 like Schumacher. The others have all had their five minutes of fame and since faded but Schumacher is still the best! When Senna died F1 was robbed and average drivers like Hill won races they would never have had a chance in if Senna was still around. If Schumacher retires while still at the top of his game over rated drivers like Button might win a bit more, but if they really deserve to win they should have to beat the best, not just wait for him to retire. Alonso is the only one who can even come close to Schumacher at the moment and without Schumacher who is to say F1 won't become the 'Alonso show' just as it was the 'Schumacher show 2000-2004' We need competition in F1 and Schumacher has consistently finished in the top three in the championship (usually 1st!). Without him F1 runs the risk of Alonso running away with the title (assuming the McLaren doesn't break down)

F1 fan, UK
face it, Schumi will never read this or care what anybody thinks, why should he break the habit of a lifetime? He doesn't care about his fans or how he wins as long as he wins, you only have to look at how he drives to see that. F1 wil be better without him, he should have gone years ago. He's an arrogant cheating tw@t.

I want to see you career end with 9 World Titles and 100 Grand Prix Victories.But if you still feel like retiring from F1, watch the video of the 1995 Belgian Grand Prix, I am sure it will inspire you to hang on for some more time in F1 as driver. Bottom Line, Please don’t Quit. Period.
